2015 begins with a little introspection on what the new year will bring. As the title implies I’ve begun to explore one of my favorite beverages, beer. I have embarked on a journey to discover the difference between all types of styles and craft brews through an ordering site called Tavour. I recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a wide variety of hoppy and malty goodness. I have even found a Stout named after Smaug of “The Hobbit” fame. Pretty awesome right? But beer is not the only field I want to explore.
Video games have returned to me as I am now the proud owner of an Xbox One. I look forward to discussing games from a casual gamers perspective. Some that I have played already include Diablo III, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, Halo Master Collection, and Dragon Age Inquisition… the last of which I have spent more time watching my wife play than actually playing myself. It does look fun though. Either way I am blown away by the level of graphics on these games. It is really amazing how far its come since I started playing video games with the Atari. Satisfying to the kid in me that wants fun games, and the adult who enjoys new technology.
To give form to some of my voices I have procured a dragon and am looking to possibly spin off this blog to a pod cast that the dragon would possibly host or at least heckle throughout the proceedings. The dragon’s name is Stan though he will tell you its “Azure the Awesome”. Take that as you will. He is a little full of himself as dragons are wont to be. Hopefully he will amuse or at least bemuse those who listen to him. At the very least I think it will amuse me.
And speaking of keeping my interest, I believe this blog needs to become more of a priority in my life. Now I am not the sort to make resolutions but I think I must be resolved to make a post here at least once per month. So if any of you out there enjoy hearing from me please feel free to poke me if I haven’t written in a while. I think with things settling with my job I will have more energy to devote to this craft and have many topics to discuss and more stories to tell and yes, finish. You can look forward to the next chapter of “A Younger Man’s Game” soon as well as the newest addition to my daughter’s My Little Avengers collection. Stay tuned.
